Acquired Bad Habits that Need Purging
The older people can remember that during the 1950s and 1960s, guests were often offered tea rather than expensive imported beer, in Southern Cameroons households. Since joining la republique, there has been a drastic cultural shift for the worse. Even police on duty can be seen openly drinking to excess.
In the wake of this, we have acquired a long laundry list of new bad habits, including (not exhaustively):
alcoholism
vandalizing public property
shameless bribery
not maintaining public property, including buildings and roads
theft of public wealth
How should these be addressed in Southern Cameroons?
